2 April 2008 - Afternoon session
13 (4.13 pm)
14 (Jury present)
15 LORD JUSTICE SCOTT BAKER: Members of the jury, it is time
16 now to break off deliberations until tomorrow morning at
17 10 o'clock. I must remind you that you must decide
18 the case on the evidence that you have seen and heard in
19 court and what you have heard here and not on anything
20 that you may have seen or heard outside the court.
21 The evidence has been completed and it would be wrong
22 for any juror to seek or receive further evidence or
23 information of any sort about the case.
24 You must not talk to anyone about the case, save to
25 other members of your number, and then only when you are
54
1 all deliberating together in the jury room. You must
2 not allow anybody to talk to you about the case, unless
3 that other person is a juror in the jury room. So when
4 you leave the court, please remember this when you go
5 home. I am sure there will be great temptations from
6 family and friends to ask what has been going on, but
7 you must resist all that temptation. You must try and
8 put the case on one side until you come back tomorrow
9 morning and continue your deliberations at 10 o'clock.
10 Good night.
